Now that their last candidate for the open Senate seat in Illinois, Jack Ryan, has self-destructed, how much trouble are the Illinois GOP having finding a candidate to take on Democratic rising star Barack Obama?
UPDATE: Yep, it’s true — at least they didn’t pick the one with the sexual harassment charges!

#2: What kind of a world do we live in where a Republican has to drop out of a senate race because he wanted to have sex with his own wife (in front of other people, sure, but no cigars were involved)?

“Jeri Ryan said her then-husband took her on three ‘surprise trips’ in the spring of 1998 to New Orleans, New York and Paris, during which he took her to sex clubs. She said she refused to go in the first and went into the second at his insistence.
‘It was a bizarre club with cages, whips and other apparatus hanging from the ceiling,’ she said in the court document, adding that her husband ‘wanted me to have sex with him there, with another couple watching. I refused.’

Yeah, but he wanted to have sex with his WIFE. I mean, if he was going to upset her by acting like a jerk, he should have banged an intern and then lied about it to prosecutors like everybody else. 😉
